Ice Fishing Info:
From first-ice, mid-January through mid-February, anglers seek Northern Pike, Lake Trout and Landlocked Salmon. Jack perch is the choice after mid-February. Make sure you use great caution when choosing ice-fishing spots. Make certain the ice is thick and solid enough to hold the weight of you and your equipment. Be wary of “blue ice.” This is when the water beneath is visible through thin ice. To insure a great trip check with the bait and tackle shops in the area or use a local guide.
