We luv this place. Its so Adirondack. Cabins are everything they should be. If you want a view, and that rustic Lake George feel - this is it. If you are looking for 5 star white glove dining then go to New York City and pay 100pp for dinner, if you are looking for good old Comfort Food, breathing "real" air, waking up in a log cabin, and watching the sun come and looking out over the Lake George cove, you've come to the right place. Looking forward to the next visit.

We had read other poor reviews of this resort but chose to speak with the front desk and give it a chance. Yes, the bed linens and towels were clean and fresh. The toilet, however, was obviously "used" but still had a paper band around it signifying it was cleaned. The walls were very thin and the wedding activities next door were very loud.. We asked the front desk where we could eat and it was suggested we eat at the hotel. instead of going to George's down the road. So we went over and were greeted with "Do you have reservations?" We did not know that would be necessary. They led us past all the diners and up into a large, dark banquet hall and sat us down at a large table. It felt like a dungeon, the food was mediocre at best and way over-priced. Overall the place was very run-down The next morning we wanted to check out, it was after nine, and we had to hunt for someone to check us out. We were so disappointed by the experience, we didn't feel welcome at all. Way over-priced!

We are very sorry you had such a terrible experience. When we purchased the hotel 3 years ago, we didn't realize the wedding business would be so robust and fortunately or unfortunately, we are still trying to figure out how to combine a banquet house with a hotel and resturant and in this instance we obviously failed. There is no excuse for the toilet not being clean. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness. The experienace in the dining room is also unexcuseable and again appologize. We do ask about reservatons when guests arrive as we get many large dining parties that need a reservaton. The main building is very old and without major renovation the best we have tried to do is make it clean. We are going to make major changes over the winter and hopefully you will return to us in the future. The staff should have handeled the situation much better and we will review all processes with them to make sure no one else suffers the same situation.
