My family and I stayed at Journey's End for a week and half over the 4th of July Holiday. Our cottage was very clean, nice sandy beach and dock, decent kayaks and well kept grounds. This was our second stay at Journey's End and we hope to be able to repeat as long as possible. My only problem was that the WIFI was always working and that made me force myself to read my emails from work (lol). My young son shed tears when I told him we had only one day left of our vacation. We love Journey's End and can't wait to return.

My family and I stayed at Journey's End Cottages over the 4 th. It was such a terrible experience, we ended our trip early. The owner had a terrible attitude with us right from the start. He told us that 3 other people before us had rented the cabin, and checked out immediately. (I guess we should have too!) The cabid was dirty, it had white animal hair all over the place and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed all summer! I had to clean the floors before I could let my 1 year old walk around! The free Wi-fi he offered was very in and out constantly. The toilet wouldn't flush right, and it took him 24 hours to address it! When I tried to express my unhappiness, he told me point blank (and I quote) "I really don't care!!!" then proceeded to turn and walked away!! I will never go back, and I hope that I can save another family from going through what we went through!

They failede to address all the problems they created when I against my btter judgment allowed to bring their dog...and left him locked in the bathroom after being told DO NOT leave dog alone in cottage as they are in strange enviroment. Well when leaving she told me the dog was scared of thunderstorm and did almost $300 worth of damage to the bathroom door frame and other areas including where he urinated several times in various places...They took their wet boat cover and used my expensive Adirondack Furniture as an area to dry it...they left over two inches of grease in the broiler pan and it took cleaning gal over two hours to disinfect the place plus four or more hours for maintenance man to install new bathroom door. I take pride in doing over 65% return business as have for almost 25 yr. and grew up in the bueinss with outstanding reputation with guests AAA inspectors and others. The toilet handle they broke and it was fixed the following morning when maintenance man was able to get a new handle but not at 5:30 p.m. when she reported it broken it was fixed as soon as humanly posible. The other guests totally avoided these people as they detected they were a troubled couple with many problems and best to keep their kids and themselves away from them and were pleased when they checked out two days early and just now getting the cottage back into shape for new guests My response of "I really don't care was when she said "I am Not impressed with you or your operation" I spent an hour the next day showing her to connect to internet on wi-fi as she did NOT know how to do it...and when I remarked about toilet she said no problem as long as it was fixed...the husband said he had been sick when they arrived and got worse each day..they were just malcontent guests and shoould have used my better judgment and not accepted them as guests. The other guests and cleaning and maintenance people could NOT believe anyone would mistreat me and the cottage as they did.
