Stay Lakeside in the Heart of the Adirondacks
Motel Long Lake & Cottages sits directly on the shores of Long Lake, in the center of New York’s Adirondack Park. Family-owned since 2008, the property blends the comfort of modern hospitality with classic Adirondack Great Camp charm. Choose from eight renovated mid-century motel rooms or 18 private cabins ranging from cozy one-bedroom retreats to spacious three and four-bedroom lodges for up to eight guests.
Adirondack-Style Cabins and Comfortable Motel Rooms
Each accommodation includes linens, towels, a private bathroom, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Cabins come with fully equipped kitchens stocked with cookware and utensils, most feature outdoor firepits and BBQs and our winter ready cabins all have internal fireplaces for added warmth. Some cottages are perched directly over the water, others along the shoreline, and some tucked into the pines behind - each offering a unique view and sense of privacy. Select cabins and motel rooms are pet-friendly, so your four-legged companions can join the adventure too.
Relax, Paddle, and Explore
Guests enjoy direct access to Long Lake from our private dock, with complimentary use of canoes and kayaks. During summer, pontoon and fishing boats are available for daily rental to both guests and non-guests, and a sandy beach beside the dock offers a place to swim or unwind by the water. Our property’s peaceful setting makes it a favorite spot to relax, fish, or simply watch the sunset after a day of exploration.
Year-Round Adventures
Nine of our cabins remain open through the winter, welcoming guests for snowmobiling, skiing, and cozy fireside stays. In spring and fall, the quieter atmosphere makes an ideal escape for remote work, writing, or just enjoying the crisp mountain air.
Perfectly Placed for Adirondack Exploration
Long Lake’s central location makes it easy to explore the best of the Adirondacks - Lake Placid, Tupper Lake, and Blue Mountain Lake are all within about an hour’s drive, each offering hiking trails, museums, and scenic lookouts. Popular day trips also include Saranac Lake, the Adirondack Experience Museum, and the Wild Center in Tupper Lake.
Just two hours drive from Albany, three hours drive from Syracuse, and about four hours from Rochester, Long Lake is ideally positioned for a weekend getaway. Its quieter setting offers the same pristine wilderness and adventure as busier Adirondack mountain towns - without the crowds.
