Staircase Falls (sometimes called Stair Falls) is made up of several small drops in Crown Point's Putnam Creek.
To reach the falls from Ticonderoga, take NY 9N/22 until it forks with County Route 7 (Vineyard Road). Veer left onto CR 7 and follow it until it ends at a T intersection with Middle Road.
Park on the shoulder of CR 7.
The waterfall is visible just downstream from the T of CR 7 and Middle Road, and it is possible to climb down the embankment to get a closer view.
A second small waterfall is visible upstream of the main falls.
Be sure to keep an eye out for private and posted signs in this area.
