The inn was built in the 1870. The authentic Arts and Crafts/Adirondack rustic style living room features the perfect mix of well-chosen antiques and comfort. Unplug from technology if you wish and play board games, converse, or sit and read by the fieldstone fireplace. Things are informal and casual with welcoming and charming ambiance at the TUMBLE INN. After a day or two you'll feel right at home. You may end up nestled in a chair by the fireplace nibbling homemade cookies or falling asleep on our "couch of no return". Catch up on news, weather, sports or favorite show with the cable tv in the guest living room or pop in a dvd. We offer free wireless internet as well.

Our efficient housekeeping and serious cooking leaves time for you to expand your mind, simply unwind or ready for the day's activities. You will enjoy a pleasant, appetizing, and elegantly served breakfast prepared in the heart of the home, the kitchen. The five course breakfast is known as the 'no lunch breakfast' which means you can skimp or skip lunch! As members of the Pride of New York and Adirondack Harvest, we strive to use local products and the bounty of our own garden. We can accommodate special dietary restrictions because we cater to you. You'll also take pleasure in the lively breakfast conversations as strangers from many lands become friends.

Our bedrooms each have private baths and all but the Fall Room have claw foot tubs with showers. The rooms are simple, carefully decorated into the scheme of a season and uncluttered to preserve yesterday's character with modern convenience. The entire inn has been inspected and approved by the Adirondack Bed and Breakfast Association. Our guests often comment on the comfort of our beds asking the brand of the mattresses.

Outside, the huge wrap around porch with a screened in area offers respite both day and night. The porch refrigerator is stocked with complimentary soft drinks and bottled water to sip as you relax in a rocker or the swing. Adirondack chairs in the back invite tranquil, shimmering lake and mountain views and suggest you kick your shoes off and relish the feel of cool grass between you toes. Play a game of badminton, volleyball, horseshoes or croquet. Look for shooting stars while soaking in our garden side hot tub.

Around town, swim or sit in an Adirondack chair at our free and unspoiled town beach, kayak, canoe, put you boat in via our free boat ramp, float in a tube down the river, windsurf, fish, bike, hike, play golf or mini golf, take in a movie, see a top-notch musical performance at the Seagle Colony, explore caves, shop, browse antique shops, eat at a pub, bistro or one of our fine restaurants, learn our local history or attend a yoga class. This vacation playground is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts and those looking for inspiration. A short distance away you can visit historical sites such as Fort Ticonderoga and Fort St. Frederick and museums. The Olympic Village of Lake Placid is always a thrill and is 45 minutes away. The ride through the high peaks, alone, is worth the trip. If roller coasters and thrill rides are your thing, Lake George, a half hour away, has a Six Flags Park. There are also outlets for shopping, steamboat rides and plenty of other attractions. And don?t forget the adventure of hiking the 46 high peaks, rafting on the Hudson, a high ropes course or rock climbing. We can help you find the activities that are right for you!
