Comment on To frack or not to frack…that is the question? by Anonymous https://www.adirondack.net/environment-blog/2012/06/to-frack-or-not-to-frackthat-is-the-question/#comment-4 Sat, 14 Jul 2012 16:04:48 +0000 https://www.adirondack.net/environment-blog/2012/06/to-frack-or-not-to-frackthat-is-the-question.html#comment-4 Here in Pennsylvania, Fracking is becoming a very big issue, both politically and environmentally. Very heated discussions on both sides and is also now including the National Park Service since the areas the gasline company wants to frack are very close and along the Delaware River area. I myself are very much against it. The gas companies and the politicians seem to prey on the people with promises of new jobs. Since there are so many people out of work, these politicians and the gas companies are wearing these people down to side with them. I think this is a huge mistake.

Comment on To frack or not to frack…that is the question? by Ron Smith https://www.adirondack.net/environment-blog/2012/06/to-frack-or-not-to-frackthat-is-the-question/#comment-3 Tue, 26 Jun 2012 16:32:45 +0000 https://www.adirondack.net/environment-blog/2012/06/to-frack-or-not-to-frackthat-is-the-question.html#comment-3 I have heard too many stories of the water tables in entire communities being polluted to be comfortable with fracking. You run a very real risk of mixing the petro-chemicals that you are seeking with the water supply.

My personal opinion is that any risk is too much risk. Which is more important, oil and gas profits or our water supply?

Hello Daina and thank you for posting. I cannot believe you saw 25 Luna Moths in your neck of the woods. That is an outstanding number!

They seemed to have disappeared up until this Spring. We saw 6 of them on Memorial Day weekend this year.
