About this event
The Olga 5K and 10K Run and 5K Walk has become a traditional Saranac Lake summer event. For the past 23 years it has supported multiple community causes, including the Riverwalk, Girl Scouts, and the Skatepark. Currently the race proceeds benefit our local youth through increased programming at the Saranac Lake Youth Center and to enhance the Saranac Lake Rotary Club's literacy program that puts a book in the hands of every child in the elementary school.
The course is mostly flat, circling Moody Pond and passing by beautiful Lake Flower. The 10K is a two-loop course and is a true 10K distance. Race results and awards will be given out immediately following the last finisher. There is also a runner's raffle and goody bags for all race participants.
Awards to top three male and female finishers in each age division in the 5K and 10K runs and awards to the top male and female finishers in two age divisions in the 5K walk.
Two round trip Cape Air plane tickets from Saranac Lake to Boston will be raffled off at the end of the race.
There are 3 water stations on course and water and hydration snacks at the end of the race.
Day of race registration and bib pickup from 8am to 9am.
