Christmas will come early to Sacandaga Bible Conference as the Christian camp and retreat center hosts its fourth-annual Christmas banquet and free cantata Dec. 15.

The banquet will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Hilltop Dining Hall. The menu will include a buffet of roast beef with pomegranate demi-glace, ham with raisin sauce, several festive side dishes and angel food cake with berries and gingerbread cream. The price for the banquet is $12 ($10 ages 7-11, $8 ages 3-6), and reservations are encouraged. The cantata, "The Star Still Shines" by Cliff Duren, will be performed at Arthur Johnston Lodge at 7 p.m. The group of local singers is led by Becki Bice, choir director at Broadalbin Baptist Church.

There is no cost to attend the cantata, and refreshments will be served after the performance. Sacandaga Bible Conference is at 191 Lakeview Road, Broadalbin. For banquet reservations, call Sacandaga Bible Conference at 883-3713.
