Enjoy a festive holiday celebration in Lake Placid, NY when you experience the annual Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll. Highlights include a skating party, Santa, a tree lighting, and so much more!

All Weekend:

  • Scavenger Hunt on Main Street
  • Window Decorating Contest 

Friday, December 12:

  • 2pm: USA Luge
  • 3pm to 6pm: Holiday Wine & Spirits Tasting at Terry Robards Wine & Spirits
  • 3pm to 5pm: Learn to Fly at the Olympic Jumping Complex
  • 3pm to 6pm: Face Painting With Pipsqueak the Clown at High Peaks Resort
  • 4pm to 7pm: Make a Medal at the Olympic Museum in the Empire Room
  • 5pm to 6:30pm: Skating Park at the 1932 Rink
  • 6pm to 9pm: Ugly Sweater Party at The College
  • 7pm: Watch A Jar Full of Christmas at the Olympic Center in the Lussi Ballroom

Saturday, December 13:

  • 8:30am: Jingle Bell Run at the Lake Placid Public Beach
  • 10am: Singing & Storytime at St. Eustace Church (please note, this event is an hour earlier than in years past)
  • 10am to 4pm: Craft Time at Just Bead It (signup required)
  • 10am to 3pm: Crafts, Photographs & Kids Items at Adirondack Community Church
  • 11am to 4pm: Candles, Cookies & Candy Canes at Pure Placid
  • 11am to 4pm: Meet Peppermint the Moose at the Little Blue House
  • 11am: Santa at Mid's Park (please note, this event is an hour earlier than in years past)
  • 11am to 12:30pm: Santa Photos at Mid's Park - bring your own camera or phone
  • 1:30pm to 3:30pm: Learn to Fly at the Olympic Jumping Complex
  • 12:30pm to 2pm: Kids Nap, Santa Shops (head back to your house or hotel to rest up for more festivities later!)
  • 3pm to 5pm: Book Signing With Sarah van Rijsewijk at The Bookstore Plus
  • 5pm: Tree Lighting at Mid's Park
  • 5pm to 8pm: Live Music With Double Axel at The Lake House
  • 7:30pm: Comedy Night With Mia Jackson and Rich Aronovitch at the Olympic Center

Sunday, December 14:

  • 8am to 4:30pm: All Santas Ski Free at Whiteface Mountain (must be in *full* Santa suit, pick up your ticket at the Whiteface ticket window)
  • 10am to 5pm: Craft Time at Just Bead It (signup required)
  • 11am: The Polar Express Screening at the Palace Theatre (wear pajamas, first 100 kids under the age of 12 get a special gift)
  • 11:30am to 1:30pm: Cookies & Cocoa With Santa at the Mirror Lake Inn
  • 1:30pm to 3pm: Free Skating at the Olympic Speed Skating Oval
  • 2pm: Ornament Making at Big Z's ($25 per person, includes a drink...or, $45 for two...$15 for kids 8 and up)
  • 3pm: High Peaks Ringers at Adirondack Community Church
  • 4pm: Chris Kringle Caravan: Santa & Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department Hit the Town
