Photos of icy burbling brooks and winter deer foraging for feed are tempered by the vivid colors of the tiny salamander and the wondrous, fleeting colors of wildflowers.

His commitment to the sport and his enthusiasm for it has resulted in the authoring of several articles on the subject, as well as conducting snowshoeing workshops. Carl has been a well known and well liked resident of a tiny Adirondack community for many years, where his custom snowshoes continue to be highly popular with local residents, neighbors, and visitors to the area since he first began creating them.
