What's New In the Adirondacks

July 2012 Archives

Adirondack Park has always been one of the biggest attractions for visitors to see and appreciate. It provides some of the most beautiful mountains, waterways and views that people all over the world will visit to see, no matter what season it is.

Luxury Travel has named the Adirondacks "perfect for exploring by boat."

forgefestcontest.jpgForgefest 2012, the 2nd Annual Tribute to Rock Legends, features 3 internationally-acclaimed tribute bands gathered outdoors from noon 'til moon (10pm) in Old Forge, NY on North Street.

Gates open at 12 noon, with opening set by local favorite, Showtime. They are followed by Blades of Glory, from British Columbia, doing Jon Bon Jovi, then Kasmir, performing Led Zeppelin.

The concert ends with Completely Unchained, performing a tribute to Van Halen.

After the music ends, fireworks will light up the sky.

There are several train packages for the event, including the Rock n Roll Express from Utica, and an Adirondack Scenic Railroad special!

Now that summer is fully underway, you may be getting a little bored of your usual activities. Better yet, why not take the whole family for free?
