Nancy Brossard will be the featured artist at the Adirondack Artists Guild for the month of November. Nancy is a Plein Air painter and a longtime member of the Guild. Her show includes all new oil paintings of the Tri-lakes area. There are large scale landscapes that give the sense of walking into the scene, as well as smaller works of trees or water. One of her favorite painting places is Bog River Falls, and she has a large winter scene of the Falls flowing through ice and snow. Another large painting is Lake Clear in the summer, a positive inspiration all year long.

Nancy works exclusively in oil, beginning each piece outdoors. Later, in the studio, she adds paint in layers, taking time to let each layer set, adding more and more paint to develop depth and underpainting.

Other works by Nancy Brossard can be seen at gallery 46, the LPCA satellite gallery on Main St. in Lake Placid.

The show will open on November 6 and run through November 29, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no reception. A maximum of six visitors may be in the gallery at one time, and masks and social distancing are required.
