In March, the Crown Point Chamber Board of Directors and present members unanimously voted to merge into the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce. Crown Point now joins Hague, Moriah, Putnam, and Ticonderoga as communities served, marketed, and promoted by the TACC.
The merger will be finalized on May 1 and the Crown Point Chamber will be dissolved at that time. The Crown Point Chamber’s funds will be transferred to the TACC and the Crown Point Chamber’s website will redirect to www.ticonderogany.com. The scholarship funding that the Crown Point Chamber had agreed to commit to Crown Point High School will still be given.
The TACC is encouraging all Crown Point Chamber members to join the TACC so they are able to take advantage of the many benefits of membership, including marketing, promotion, publicity, and exposure through listings on the Chamber’s website and printed business directory, member referrals, business support, services, trainings and seminars, and marketing and networking opportunities.
If Crown Point Chamber members have questions about the merger, they should contact TACC Executive Director Matthew Courtright at 518-585-6619.
