Saturday, August 29 – Old Forge
Decorate your boat and join the parade from Inlet to the Old Forge waterfront! A celebration and awards ceremony will follow with music, food, and beverages. All proceeds benefit View Arts Center.
Saturday, August 29 – Warrensburg
This 4-person scramble benefits the educational programs of Cornell Cooperative Extension. Your registration fee includes green fees, a cart, a chicken barbecue, a goodie bag, awards, and prizes!
Saturday, August 29 – Ticonderoga
This full day of free activities commemorates the end of World War II and takes place on the grounds of the Hancock House at the Ticonderoga Historical Society. There will be WWII era military vehicles, children’s activities, programs and speakers of interest, and more!
Saturday, August 29 – Lake George
This session will include both indoor and outdoor activities to help citizen scientist volunteers learn the basic protocols for surveying for forest pests in a field setting. These skills are necessary to help detect early signs and symptoms of Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA).
Saturday, August 29 – Lake Luzerne
Professor Starbuck will talk to attendees about the unique role the Adirondacks play in archaeology, and various excavations that have taught us about the past.
Saturday, August 29 – Chestertown
This comedy tour features Aaron David Ward, Deric Harrington, and Steve Van Zandt (winner of ABC TV’s America’s Funniest People). Proceeds benefit the Tri-Lakes Business Alliance.
Sunday, August 30 – Blue Mountain Lake
Participants will learn the historical components of Iroquois pottery, and will craft their own personalized vessel. Reproduction and original archaeological pottery shards will be available for visual reference.
Sunday, August 30 – Speculator
Show how tough you are with this 5K trail run that climbs its way up, down, and all around Oak Mountain! There will also be a 10K option and a 1K fun run for kids.
