Lake Placid
Spectators are welcome to attend the Lake Placid Horse Show at the North Elba Show Grounds and watch as horses compete in different obstacle courses.
Saturday, July 2
Minerva/Olmstedville
Minerva Day is a town-wide celebration that runs from 8:00AM-9:30PM on July 2. Events include a town-wide yard sale, artisans and vendors, a fishing derby, and fireworks at the end of the day.
3. I Love BBQ & Music Festival
Saturday, July 2 – Monday, July 4
Lake Placid
Ranked as the eighth best BBQ event in the country by USA Today readers, the I Love BBQ & Music Festival attracts people from all over. Highlights this year include pulled pork tastings, a Rib Fest, and BBQ vendors all weekend long.
4. 44th Annual Forge Festival of Arts & Crafts

Located this year at the Adirondack Bank’s parking lot in Old Forge, the annual Forge Festival of Arts & Crafts will feature over 40 skilled vendors, food, and a variety of handcrafted items for sale.

Northern Region:
1. Lake Placid July 4th Parade and Celebration

Lake Placid
Lake Placid’s day-long 4th of July celebration will feature a variety of concerts and activities. The annual parade will start at 4:30PM on Cummins Road, and fireworks will go off at 9:30PM over Mirror Lake.
2. Saranac Lake, NY: 4th of July Celebration

Saranac Lake
Saranac Lake’s 4th of July celebration will kick off with a kid’s parade down Main Street at 10:00AM. Events will be going on throughout Saranac Lake, and later that evening, there will be fireworks over Lake Flower.
3. 4th of July Plattsburgh Community Celebration

Plattsburgh
The City of Plattsburgh will host its 4th of July Community Celebration from 11:00AM-9:00PM. You won’t want to miss the Red, White & Blue Relay at 11:00AM, the 4th of July Parade at 1:00PM, or the fireworks display at 9:30PM.
Southern Region:
1. The ”DOINs” Independence Day Celebration – Northville, NY

Northville
The annual “DOINs” Independence Day celebration in Northville is a two-day event before the 4th of July. There will be rides and vendors in Waterfront Park on both days, and fireworks will go off around 9:30PM on Saturday.
2. Corinth, NY: Independence Day Celebration

Corinth
Join the Village of Corinth for its annual Independence Day celebration from 7:00AM-9:20PM on Saturday. The festivities will begin with a Firecracker 5K, followed by a parade at 2:00PM, live music, and fireworks at 9:20PM.
3. Speculator 4th of July Celebration

Speculator
A parade and other 4th of July activities will take place in Speculator before Independence Day. On Saturday afternoon, you’ll be able to enjoy rides, games, and food. Afterward, a parade and fireworks display will occur.
4. Lake George, NY: 4th of July Fireworks at Shepards Park

Lake George
At Shepards Park in Lake George Village, there will be a fireworks display along the waterfront immediately following sundown on July 4.
5. Lake George, NY: 4th of July Fireworks at Bolton Landing

Bolton Landing
Come by Bolton Landing on July 4 from 7:00PM-10:00PM for music, face painting, and more. Fireworks will begin at dusk near Rogers Memorial Park.
Central Region:
1. Indian Lake: Independence Day Parade & Fireworks

Indian Lake
Indian Lake’s Independence Day celebration begins Saturday evening with festivities in Byron Park at 6:00PM. The parade will begin at the town hall at 7:00PM, and the fireworks display is planned for approximately 9:30PM.
2. Tupper Lake, NY: Independence Day Fireworks Celebration

A fireworks display will begin at dusk at Tupper Lake’s Municipal Park the night before Independence Day.
3. Long Lake: 4th of July Celebration

Long Lake
Long Lake’s 4th of July celebration will kick off at 10:00AM with a variety of children’s games and activities on the Town Ball Field. The games will be followed by the Long Lake Bed Races at 2:00PM, and the celebration will end with live music and fireworks.
Eastern Region:
1. Ticonderoga, NY: Best 4th in the North 2016 Celebration

Ticonderoga
Ticonderoga’s Best 4th in the North celebration is a four-day event with a theme of “Hometown Pride – Think Local.” There will be food, rides, and vendors in Bicentennial Park all weekend long, and the annual parade and fireworks display will occur on July 4.
2. Independence Day Celebration

Westport
At Westport’s Independence Day celebration on July 2, a parade will march through town starting at 5:00PM, followed by a pig roast at 6:00PM and fireworks at Lee Park Beach.
3. Hague, NY: Independence Day Celebration

Hague
Hague’s Independence Day celebration will start at 6:00PM with a live performance by Calamity Rock at the Town Park, followed by fireworks at 8:45PM.
4. Essex Fireworks Celebration for Independence Day 2016

Essex
The Independence Day celebration in Essex begins with a fireworks display at 9:30PM on July 3, and on July 4, a parade will begin at 11:00AM.
5. Schroon Lake: 4th of July Festivities

Schroon Lake’s 4th of July celebration will feature a parade at 6:00PM and fireworks around dusk at 9:30PM. Live entertainment, activities, and more will be going on around Schroon Lake throughout the day.
Western Region:
1. Old Forge, NY: Independence Day Celebration

Old Forge
Old Forge’s Independence Day celebration will start off with a concert on the lakefront performed by the Floyd Community Instrumental Ensemble at 7:30PM, followed by a fireworks display.
2. Inlet: Fourth of July Fireworks

Stop by Arrowhead Park in Inlet on July 4 for live music at 7:30PM and a fireworks display over Fourth Lake at dusk.
3. Raquette Lake: Fireworks from the Barge on 4th of July

Raquette Lake
Starting at 6:00PM, you’ll be able to enjoy live music and a barbecue dinner at the Raquette Lake Village Green. Afterward, there will be a fireworks display from the barge.
