Saranac Lake 6er Relay – Saturday, October 14
Saranac Lake will host their 3rd Saranac Lake 6er Relay on Saturday! This relay will feature teams of six competing to finish the Saranac Lake 6er hiking challenge first. Each team member will ascend and descend one of the six required peaks. The event will kick off with a shotgun start at 6:00am at the Berkeley Green.
MooseFest – Friday, October 13 – Sunday, October 15
Head over to Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company in Old Forge for MooseFest this weekend. Each October, this event attracts whitewater enthusiasts from all around. There will be huge sales on products, a raffle, a Moose River race, and more.
BARKtoberfest – Saturday, October 14
Get ready for BARKtoberfest at Olive Ridley’s in Plattsburgh on Saturday at 7:00pm. Hosted by the North Country SPCA, this evening of blues and brews will help raise funds for the nonprofit organization. The event will include a tap takeover by Lake Placid Pub & Brewery and free buffalo wings while they last.
Pumpkin Heaves Festival – Saturday, October 14
Head to the northern reaches of the Adirondacks for the 4th Annual Pumpkin Heaves and Autumn Leaves Festival in Vermontville. This fun festival will feature a Pumpkin Pie Bake-Off, a Pumpkin Carving Contest, a Pumpkin Heaving Contest, and more fall activities.
3rd Annual Keeseville Autumn Festival – Saturday, October 14
Don’t miss out on the 3rd Annual Keeseville Autumn Festival at the Keeseville Elks Lodge on Saturday from 12:00pm-9:00pm. Event highlights will include a free community BBQ and pot luck, fun food contests, kids’ activities, 10 live bands, a car show, and much more.

Adirondack Shakespeare Company: Love’s Labour’s Lost – Friday, October 13
Head over to the Whallonsburg Grange Hall in Essex this Friday for Adirondack Shakespeare Company’s performance of Shakespeare’s classic play “Love’s Labour’s Lost.” General admission is $15, or $5 for people under 18.
Show Up Show in Long Lake – Friday, October 13 & Saturday, October 14
The Adirondack Hotel in Long Lake will present Peter Michael Marino’s International Hit Comedy “Show Up” this Friday and Saturday. This semi-improvised, one-man comedy makes use of the audience to design the set and sound of each performance. Tickets are $25 per person.
Missy Raines & The New Hip – Saturday, October 14
Check out one of the most popular and trailblazing figures in bluegrass today at the Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake – Missy Raines! Raines will be performing with her own innovative and genre-bending band The New Hip. Tickets are $18 in advance and $22 at the door.
1984 at Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts – Saturday, October 14
Catch a powerful performance of “1984” at the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts in Blue Mountain Lake this Saturday evening. Presented by the Pendragon Theatre, this theatrical adaption of George Orwell’s iconic novel is by Michael Gene Sullivan, and it contains adult language and content.
Adirondack Floral Art: Corn Husk & Flower Wreath with Roberta Games – Sunday, October 15
Spend an afternoon at Adirondack Folk School in Lake Luzerne on Sunday for their Corn Husk & Flower Wreath Class with Roberta Games. Students will learn how to create their own handcrafted corn husk wreath – the perfect decoration for the fall season. General tuition is $55pp.
