Love maple? You’re in luck! From Friday through Sunday of this weekend, there will be tons of maple-themed events happening all around the Adirondacks. In fact, the second NY State Maple Weekend will be on Saturday and Sunday, during which participating maple producers will offer open houses to visitors.

Check out the Tannery Pond Community Center in North Creek this weekend for Our Town Theatre Group’s production of “Over the River and Through the Woods.” This funny and heartwarming comedy is sure to entertain audiences and tug at the heartstrings a little too.
This weekend, the Adirondack Stage Rats will present their production of “Tuesdays With Morrie” at BluSeed Studios up in Saranac Lake. Based on the best-selling book, this play follows sportswriter Mitch Albom during his reunion and meetings with former college professor Morrie Schwartz.
The Whallonsburg Grange in Essex will host the Cardinal Pickers on Sunday at 3:00pm! Enjoy live bluegrass music and fill up on soup, chili, and bread while you’re there. Admission is $6 at the door.
The 2018 NCAA DIII Men’s Ice Hockey Championship is happening this weekend at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid! Stop by on Friday and Saturday for some exciting ice hockey action.
Fun Activities for All
Join Garnet Hill Lodge in North River for a fun outing in the Siamese Ponds Wilderness Area. This snowshoe day trip will be approximately 5-7 miles, and participation is free for guests and $25 for non-guests.
Enjoy a fun night out with other moms at the 4th Annual Ticonderoga Area Mom Prom on Saturday at the Ticonderoga EMA Club. This charity event is a fundraiser for the Best 4th in the North Celebration, and it will feature an array of appetizers, desserts, music, dancing, and more.
On Sunday, the Lake Champlain Appaloosa Club will present their Spring Tack Auction at the Rainbow Banquet Hall in Altona. Bidding will begin at noon for a wide variety of items. There will also be a Chinese Auction with great gifts and prizes. Admission is free.
