Oak Mountain in Speculator is celebrating National Ski and Snowboard Day with four-hour tickets for $20 and Learn to Ski/Learn to Ride lessons for only $35.

The skiing fun continues at Oak Mountain with the Lollipop Races for kids. This is happening on several Saturdays throughout the season and this is the first one.
Lapland Ladies Love to Ski Clinic

This one’s for you ladies – this program is for women, taught by women. This event at Lapland Lake Nordic Vacation Center in Northville is $60 and includes instruction in classic ski or stake technique, lunch, a group ski, and more. Rental equipment is extra.
Remsen Social Club at Park Coffee House
Saturday, January 12
The Park Coffee House in Patent is starting their Winter-Spring Coffee House Season this Saturday with a performance from Remsen Social Club. The cover charge is $12.
Sunday the 13th
Cabin Fever Sunday – Tahawus: Birth of a Hamlet and a Cub
Sunday, January 13
Cabin Fever Sunday begins at Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake. This presentation covers the time period from 1847 to 1947 at the Hudson River Headwaters. The cost is $5.

Yet another series of events is kicking off this weekend – the Fort Fever Series at Fort Ticonderoga. This program is focusing on horse artifacts in the museum’s collection and their unique stories of American saddlery.
