Living History Event: Continue in Their Service & Save Their Country
Saturday, November 9
Celebrate veterans and military history this weekend at Fort Ticonderoga, which will be hosting special programming on Saturday. The day will feature living history vignettes, military demonstrations, and tours depicting the pivotal month of October 1776 at Ticonderoga. Active service members and veterans will receive free admission.
Sunday, November 10
Which local restaurant serves up the best chicken wings? That’s for you to decide at Wing Wars XII at High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid! $15 admission at the door gets you all the wings you can eat and helps support North Country Life Flight’s air medical rescue team. There will also be raffles and a silent auction, as well as free t-shirts for the first 100 guests.
13th Annual Lake George Polar Plunge for Special Olympics
Saturday, November 9
Head down to Lake George this weekend for their annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics at Shepard Park. While watching the event is free to attend, those who want to take a dip in the cold November waters of Lake George will be raising funds to support Special Olympics NY.
Thursday, November 7
Join the Zonta Club of the Adirondacks for an evening of amazing tapas-style cuisine, drinks, and live music at Heaven Hill Farm in Lake Placid. The event features a silent auction to benefit women in the Adirondacks and across the world.
Saturday, November 9
Help support children’s Neuroblastoma cancer research this Saturday at Hotel Saranac in Saranac Lake. The 2nd annual fundraiser is hosted by Hope for Miracles and is a family-friendly evening.

See The Kingdom Choir perform live in Saranac Lake during their Stand By Me Tour. The London, England-based gospel choir is known for their performance at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018.

Open House and Community Collection Day at Adirondack Experience
Monday, November 11
Stop by Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake this Veteran’s Day to help support their upcoming exhibition, From Wilderness to Warfront: The Adirondacks and World War II. In honor of the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the museum is asking the community to share historic materials or photographs of historic materials with the museum, as well as their personal experiences or family stories. There will also be free admission to the Life in the Adirondack exhibition and a sale at the ADKX store.
