Fort Ticonderoga brings back the Carillon boat trips, there are a slew of events going on in the Adirondacks including Memorial Day parades, and we have a few newsy tidbits for you to catch up on.

Carillon Boat Tours Return to Fort Ticonderoga
Boating at Fort Ticonderoga makes a comeback for 2021! The Carillon will set sail once again starting tomorrow, Friday the 28th. This is a 75-minute, narrated boat cruise on gorgeous Lake Champlain. This weekend there will be cruises at 1pm and 3:30pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
As of this writing, the 3:30pm time slots for this Friday and Saturday are available; the others are sold out. Plan ahead and book your tickets!

Newsy Tidbits to Know About in the Region
Henry M. Kashiwa Wetland Walkway Is Now Open
The View in Old Forge has announced the Henry M. Kashiwa Wetland Walkway is now open during the art center’s regular hours of operation (Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm). Access to the walkway is included with gallery admission. This project has been in the works for many years!
Construction Underway at Lake Placid Olympic Sites
Check out the Lake Placid Olympic Sites on Facebook for photos of the latest construction happening at the Olympic Center and Olympic Jumping Complex. The outside of the Center is getting a facelift, the Olympic Speed Skating Oval has been demolished in favor of a new design to meet modern speed skating standards, and they’re re-grading the landing hills at the Ski Jump (also to meet modern industry standards). Also, they’re reopening the Cliffside Coaster this weekend!
ADK Outdoor Supply Co. Announces Grand Opening Celebration
The ADK Outdoor Supply Co.’s new Speculator region store celebrates their grand opening tomorrow, Friday, May 28. They’re located at 2891 Route 30, Suite 1, in Speculator and the event will feature food, games, and prizes. A portion of proceeds will benefit the family of Mark Hughes, a beloved member of the Speculator Volunteer Fire Department and community who recently passed from cancer.
The store has an extensive selection of brand name apparel, boots, shoes, sandals, and tons of outdoor gear and gadgets, so this is a great chance to get a head start on purchasing anything you need for the summer season. They’re also going to offer seasonal equipment rentals for kayaks and paddleboards.
Whiteface Veterans’ Memorial Highway Now Open
You can drive up the Whiteface Veterans’ Memorial Highway from 8:45pm to 5:30pm daily through October 11! The rate is $20 per standard vehicle.
Regal Cinemas Welcomes Movie Goers in Plattsburgh
Regal Cinemas in Plattsburgh’s Champlain Centre Mall will reopen tomorrow the 28th. There had been rumors of the theater not reopening at all, so this is exciting for local movie fans. A Quiet Place Part II and Cruella both come out this weekend!
