June 2nd I made my reservations for June 26-June 28. On 6-23 I Received a call and was told the pool would not be open but they had a shuttle that would take you to another pool if needed.. Being that this call was 3 days before my reservation and my vacation plans could not be changed with such short notice I didn't cancel but was disappointed. I planed this trip there to meet my brother who was staying in a RV rental.. So My stay was from June 26 to June 28. After a 11 hour car ride I checked in at the front desk only to have to wait for about 35 minutes.. The person who was helping me was struggling to either know the procedures/policies and had to get some help. On top of it the original cabin I was to given no one knew if it had been cleaned or if someone was still in it.. So I continued to wait and wait and wait until they finally changed me to a different cabin.

The staff on the grounds where friendly and fun to talk to..

Made a reservation in April for a cabin. When we got there, they said they had no more cabins and tried to get us to take a tiny old dirty RV.
We ended up at the great escape lodge for the same price as the cabin and had access to the amusement park for every day of our stay. We will never to back to this campground again. The staff was unapologetic and rude.

I am greatly disappointed with my experience from last weeks cabin rental 6-22 to 6-26.To have no pool for the entire week was a huge blow to my kids, wife and myself. We were told this info two days before our rental time. When my wife called to complain she was told that they were waiting for the pools to be inspected and the pools will open next week (which would be on the Monday of our week)It’s to late to re schedule anywhere so we went with it. The first thing we find while moving into the cabin was a shower drain clogged with a huge dried pile of hair. The rest of the bathroom was dirty. We had to clean most of the cabin to feel comfortable. When you live in a bathroom that's not your, it should be cleaned well to make you feel comfortable. Everything was so dirty and nasty looking. We also planned on eating at the grill at least one meal a day. We were told they won’t open till June 28th. We couldn't rent a paddle boat or tube. We had to go off the campground to keep our kids happy. The soft serve machine was broke and it just added to our disappointment. Speeding vehicles going down the one way street all week. Little kids everywhere. Very dangerous. We checked out one day early and the front desk took my number and informed me that we would receive a call from the manager and that we should get a some money back. This never happened.

My husband and I loved this campground. We were planning to go again this year, but after reading the reviews pertaining to the new management I think we will find another campground. It saddens me because this was the absolute best! The staff were so friendly and couldn't help enough, the sites were clean and they made sure your neighbors didn't intrude on your peace and quiet by drinking and becoming loud and rude. I had to give it four stars from my previous and personal experience before the new management. It would have been five stars, but after reading the reviews, I just couldn't.

We happen to be looking for a place that allowed pets. This place is terrific so pet friendly. Lots of things to do here. Staff that talked to us was very friendly and helpful. Also people are always around tiding up the camp sites after people leave. We had a terrific time and looking forward to going there again.
