What's New In the Adirondacks

Anyone who has been can agree there is no place quite like the Adirondacks in summertime. Well, one local, Gregg Simmons, recently put his feelings into verse and song, mentioning all the little things he loves about Summertime in the Adirondacks.

keenebarn2.jpgThe Keene New York Barn is in desperate need of repair and with enough interest, it can be saved! 

At the intersection of Routes 73 and 9 in Keene, New York, you will pass an old Keene Barn that has quite noticeably seen its share of Adirondack weather.

With its sagging roof and weathered red paint, set in an overgrown field with a backdrop of evergreens and mountains, this old Keene Barn is a photographer's dream. In fact, Adirondack photographer, Carl Heilman II was one of the first ones backing the rescue of this old barn.
