NorthWind Fine Arts September featured artist is Lee Ann Sporn. She presents a mix of works that she feels depicts the "narrative" of her journey into the world of visual art. Hours are daily, 10-4, closed Wednesdays. Exhibit dates are August 31-September 26, 2023.
Trained as a biomedical scientist, and currently a Professor of Biology at Paul Smith's College, she aspires to integrate her love of the "form and function of all things living" into her art. Lacking formal art training, she has fearlessly delved into the world of visual art using experimentation as her learning tool.
Lee Ann's featured work includes detailed renderings in colored pencil and charcoal, as well as expressive abstract images created using oil, acrylic and collage.
