Kristel Guimara, Biologist & Environmental Conservationist from the Adirondacks will be one of the main contributors to a new blog on Adirondack.net! Start The Conservation is a blog aimed at generating conversation about the Adirondack Park and what goes on here.
In her first post, Kristel observes a few changes in the migration of birds around her home. As an avid birdwatcher, she notices slight changes in the timing of migrations and knows when something isn’t quite right. Have you noticed any changes in your flocks? Head over to Start The Conservation and let them know!
Kristel Guimara has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration on Environmental Science from Paul Smith’s College. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Conservation Biology from Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT. Her writing is (as one reader put it), “captivating, almost poetic — I found myself lost in the delicate pictures her words had painted!”
This blog will be a contributor blog, with posts coming from several people who are involved in the preservation of our beloved Adirondack Park. Would you like to write for this blog? Let us know here, and you could be the next contributor on Start The Conservation!
