4. Newcomb’s Winter Fest in the Heart of the Park

Newcomb
Winter Fest in the Heart of the Park features free winter outdoor activities like snowmobile rides, ice fishing demonstrations, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, and sledding.
5. Winter Family Fun Day: An 18th Century Experience

Ticonderoga
Enjoy a day of winter sports as the staff of Fort Ticonderoga present the real historical use of sports like sledding, snowshoeing, and skating.
6. Adirondack White Out Weekend
Saturday, February 13 – Sunday, February 14
Clifton-Fine
Have a true Adirondack winter experience on the western side of the Park during this non-profit family-friendly festival. It features outdoor recreation, wildlife presentations, and an interactive and educational children’s event.
7. Raquette Lake Winter Carnival
Saturday, February 13 – Sunday, February 14
Raquette Lake
This two-day event features small town tradition and big time fun. The library will be open for warmth, but lots of action will be taking place outside!
8. Free Fishing Weekend in New York State
Saturday, February 13 – Sunday, February 14
Throughout New York State
Residents and visitors age 16 and older will be able to fish the waters of New York State without a license this weekend. All other statewide regulations remain in effect.

Blue Mountain Lake
Visit The Adirondack Museum for kids activities, family-friendly crafting fun, snowshoeing, photo stations, free exhibitions, and lots of indoor and outdoor happenings.
