Take a trip to the Olympic Sports Complex in Lake Placid for the Viessmann World Cup Luge! This luge competition will feature four events: men’s singles, women’s singles, doubles, and the team relay event. Stop by and cheer on Team USA!
Join High Peaks Cyclery in Lake Placid for their annual AT/TE Demo Weekend. This fun-filled and educational weekend will include holiday specials, demos, skiing, safety clinics, and much more.
Ready to break out your snowshoes? On Saturday, Gore Mountain in North Creek will host a Snowshoe Race at the North Creek Ski Bowl at 2:00pm. Sign up and participate, or cheer on the racers!
Holiday Train Rides
This holiday season, you can find The Polar Express™ Train Ride at the Utica Union Station. This festive train ride lets passengers live the magic of the classic Christmas story. Be sure to check the upcoming train schedule!
Based on the beloved children’s book, The Train To Christmas Town is a holiday train ride operated Saratoga & North Creek Railway. Experience a recreated version of the story book tale during your train ride with the family. The train departs from Stony Creek Ranch Resort, and it will be offered on multiple dates and times through December 27.
Discover Holiday Shows and Entertainment
The Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake is currently hosting their Best Christmas Pageant Ever, an hour-long production that follows the trials and tribulations of rehearsing and presenting a Christmas pageant. This holiday show will be performed this weekend and on December 22, 23, 28, 29, and 30.
Enjoy a free holiday concert by the Adirondack Gypsies at the Long Lake Public Library this Saturday at 7:00pm. There will also be light refreshments.
Head north to Plattsburgh’s Strand Center Theatre for a spectacular holiday concert by world-renowned organist Peter Krasinski on Sunday. This evening will include festive entertainment for the whole family.
