It’s that time of year again! The Best 4th In The North Committee of the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership recently announced the schedule for their 2018 Independence Day Celebration, and you’re invited. From June 30 to July 4, come see live music, a parade, amazing fireworks, and more!

The Schedule of Events
All of the fun-filled events will take place in Bicentennial Park unless otherwise stated.
Saturday, June 30
- Downtown Block Party: 8 PM – 11 PM | Music and dancing at the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour Parking Lot, with music by Doc Entertainment.
Sunday, July 1
- Fire Fighter Softball Tournament: 8 AM | Ticonderoga Little League Field.
- Food, Vendors & Rides in Bicentennial Park: 4 PM – 10 PM | Bracelets $20.00, from 5 PM to 9 PM.
- Grit n Whiskey: 6 PM – 9 PM | Live modern country music performance.
Monday, July 2
- Food, Vendors & Rides in Bicentennial Park: 4 PM – 10 PM | Bracelets $20.00, from 5 PM to 9 PM.
- Patriotic Bash: 6 PM – 9 PM | Dance in the Park with DJ Cruz.
Tuesday, July 3
- Food, Vendors & Rides in Bicentennial Park: 4 PM – 10:30 PM | Bracelets $20.00, from 5 PM to 9 PM.
- Fire Fighter Competition: 4 PM – 7 PM | Area fire fighters come together to compete in the “Fire Fighter Games.”
- Willie Playmore Band: 6 PM – 10 PM | Live classic and modern rock performance.
Wednesday, July 4
- Food, Vendors & Rides in Bicentennial Park: 10:30 AM – 11 PM
- Montcalm Mile / Parade Route to Close: 1:30 PM | Light at Walmart Entrance along Wicker Street and Montcalm Street to Tower Avenue.
- Annual Montcalm Mile: 1:45 PM | Montcalm Street, Downtown Ticonderoga.
- Fourth of July Parade: 2 PM | Montcalm Street, Downtown Ticonderoga. 2018 Theme “Superheroes and Villains” with Grand Marshal Wendy Shaw, announcers Angela Brown and Jessica Stoddard, and patriotic music by DJ Cruz. The bandstand will be located in front of the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour. Prizes and certificates will be awarded for the Most Patriotic and Most Creative floats.
- Joe McGinness: 7:30 PM – 11:30 PM | Live country, rock, and original music.
- Grand Fireworks Display by Santore World Famous Fireworks: 9:45 PM (Dusk) | Starting time will be based on weather and safety conditions.
About the Best 4th In The North
The theme of the Celebration is “Superheroes and Villains,” and this year, community superhero Wendy Shaw will be the Grand Marshal for the Best 4th In The North Parade. According to a recent press release, “Wendy is a very active volunteer within the community and leads the local non-profit organization Friends Comforting Friends. She is very dedicated to the community as a whole and is a ‘Superhero’ in many ways.”

Applications, rules, and regulations are available at timainstreet.org and at the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce office. Applications may be returned to the office at 94 Montcalm Street, Suite 1, Ticonderoga.
