Overview

The Upper Grasse River and Plum Brook are southern extension to the Grasse River waterway.

 The Upper Grasse River and Plumb Brook are great for anglers looking for brown trout. THe DEC stocks both water ways annually with 700 browns in South Branch of Grasse River and over 2,000 in the Grasse River. Plumb Brook recieves over 4,000 brown trout .

The public can access the Upper Grasse River in the DeGrasse State Forest, County Route 27 has a canoe launch, Lampson Falls Trail, Donnerville Road, County Route 17, and the bridge in Russell. Anglers can access Plumb Brook from the Whippoorwill Corner State Forest and Silver Hill State Forest, both are off County Route 17 between Russell and DeGrasse.
