Zoom Flume Water Park Celebrates Its 30th Year!
Last month Zoom Flume Water Park celebrated it’s 30 year anniversary. In attendance were State Senator James Seward, State Assemblyman Pete Lopez, and many other county legislators and officials there to celebrate the growth of the park.
Built in 1981 by Frank and Claire Aragona as a means to attract customers to their resort, The Country Place, the water park took off and is now one of the leading attractions in the Great Northern Catskills. Today, Zoom Flume is owned and operated by Frank and Clair’s children Glenn Aragona and Denise Kerrigan.
To celebrate this milestone, Zoom Flume has given a gift to the customers! A $1 million wave pool dubbed Riptide Cove. This wave-pool uses the newest wave generating equipment which allows for endless possibilities in wave types, heights, and combinations. “Awesome Waves!,” and “Just like the beach only better!,” are just a few of the comments guests have made.
What did everyone think of the new wave pool?
