Back in March, the Essex County Board of Supervisors changed the definition of a “dangerous firework.” However, this past Monday, this definition was clearly defined and outlined which types of fireworks would now be available for purchase just in time for the Fourth of July!
If you’re 18 or older, you’re in luck! These fireworks can now be purchased under this new local law. Essex County is allowing for these specific types of fireworks to be sold for the Fourth of July and New Year celebrations at retailers licensed through New York State. They can be purchased from June 1st through July 5th and December 26th through January 2nd.
So, will you be getting your sparklers out for the Fourth of July this year? Let us know what you think about the new law!
