Artists Falls is a 20 ft high cascade in Gill Brook, a tributary to East Branch of the Ausable River. Additional falls can be found upstream.
You'll find Artists Falls on NYS Route 73, just south of Saint Huberts within the Adirondack Mountain Reserve.
Keep an eye out for signs on Route 73 indicating the Giant Mountain Wilderness Area, as the parking area you're looking for is right across the road.
Once you're in the Adirondack Mountain Reserve, travel 1.75 miles from the guard shack along Lake Road until you reach the Gill Brook Trail. Hike 0.4 miles up the trail, and you'll come to the falls.
