The Adirondack Ramblewood House Rental with Beach/Dock

The Ramblewood is a lovely old Adirondack hotel with a rich history. Our  parents purchased it in 1964 for their growing family. They put  their love and effort into this house and to raising a family of 10 children.

The land around the Ramblewood is all part of the wonderful experience of staying here. There are trails to follow ,  woods to explore, big rocks to climb on, streams to cross,  views to gaze at and a nice spot to sit and rest on the crest.

The house is roomy and homey with lots of space for family and friends. The kitchen is large and well equipped with plenty of seating. Upstairs there are 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  Room H has a queen and Room B has 2 doubles. Room 1 has a queen, room 2 has a single, room  3 has a queen and room 4 has twin bunks and a single and a roll away. Down stairs there is a  queen futon in the library area with the propane fireplace and a  bathroom close by.There are many  areas where one can sit and read a book or have a private conversation. There are also many spots for group gatherings inside and out. There are 3 porches, one screened. 

There is a fire pit and picnic table ,a nice long drive way for the little ones to ride bikes on, and  a pond where many have tried their hand at catching frogs.There are also blue berries to pick if you are our guest  during the summer. Excellent sledding right out the door during the winter. You have access to NYS snowmobile trails nearby. Chestertown offers a FREE skiing, skating, sledding hill. Located only 3 miles from the Ramblewood, Dynamite Hill is a wonderful place to take the kids. There is a nice cabin to warm up in or to have lunch.

Rates; Summer  2012 -- $1600/wk, same rate at 2010, or we offer a nightly rate of $250 ( 2 night minimum)  $350 deposit.  Winter: $180 for 7 people or less, each additional person is charged at $10/person/night. We had an absolutely wonderful time!

Plenty of room for the kids to run, play and explore. Beautiful porches provided amazing gathering spots with an opportunity to enjoy nature.

We visited during the early spring and enjoyed the crisp mountain air. Was great to get away and do nothing more than stretch your arms wide and take a few deep breaths.

Can?t wait to get up there and do it again.
