Just a short drive from Syracuse, Osceola, NY is located in the Tug Hill region of New York. This area is known for its large snowfall accumulations during the winter months each year. This makes Osceola a great destination for many winter sports, but especially cross country skiers, biathletes, and snowmobiling enthusiasts.
Cross country skiers can choose from trails in a number of parks within Osceola and the surrounding area, including Osceola-Tug Hill Cross Country Ski Trails, Washington Park Cross Country Ski Trails and Whetstone Gulf State Park. Keep in mind that these parks are available for use during the summer months as well, specifically for hiking and camping.
If you have a moment to step out of the cold, Osceola is also home to the North American Fiddlers Hall of Fame.
