About this event

I Love Barbecue & Music Festival (ILBBQF) will return to the North Elba Show Grounds in Lake Placid from September 2-4!

Highlights include:

  • About 40 professional barbecue teams competing for Grand Champion title
  • First-ever steak competition
  • Buck-A-Rib (a fan favorite!)
  • Food demonstrations and tastings
  • Live music, including the Gibson Brothers
  • Kids activities, arts and crafts, and a vendor exposition
  • Professional wrestling shows
  • Krusher Stunt Team Free Style BMX bikes show
  • Celebrity appearances

The competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS), the world’s largest organization of barbecue and grilling enthusiasts.

The beneficiary of the event is the Shipman Youth Center (SYC) a not-for-profit community organization providing support to children and youth ages 10-18. Over the past 15 years, the event has raised $325,000 for the center.
