About this event
Looking for the perfect summer beach read or a chance to unplug while you're in the Adirondacks? Don’t miss the Friends of the Chestertown Library’s Annual Summer Book Sale, happening Friday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, July 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chestertown Library.
This two-day event is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, offering thousands of gently-used books in every genre imaginable — from bestselling novels and romance to children’s and young adult favorites, history, travel, military, westerns, and a special collection of old and interesting volumes. You’ll also find CDs, DVDs, games, and puzzles, making it easy to stock up on affordable entertainment for the whole family.
With most books priced between 50¢ and $1, it’s a budget-friendly way to build your vacation reading list or bring home some literary treasures. Whether you’re searching for a gripping thriller, a heartfelt love story, or something to keep the kids busy on rainy days, there’s something for everyone.
All proceeds directly support programming, resources, and community services at the Chestertown Library — so every book you buy helps turn the page toward a stronger, more vibrant local library.
