For the past 6 weeks the Double H Ranch received a considerable level of
support from a handful of generous Facebook fans and donors! The “Choose Your Path” online challenge helped support the programs that bring health and happiness to children
battling life-threatening medical conditions. Here’s a recap of the events, and
some insight as to how those donations positively impact their campers!
The “Choose Your Path” online challenge kicked-off back in May in
an effort to generate support for the various programs offered to the HH
campers and their families. These programs include the High Ropes Course,
Horseback Riding, Pool, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and Fishing, to name a few.
To participate, donors were asked to “choose your path”, and
select which program areas they loved most. With two teams in the running- Team
Health and Team Happiness– it was certain this event would ignite a
competitive edge in all participants!
Six weeks later, the online challenge helped bring-in a generous
amount of donations. And in the end, Team Happiness ran away with the
competition, generating nearly 60% more in donations than Team Health!
So just what made this challenge so special? The “Choose Your
Path” challenge was run exclusively online! This meant that
word-of-mouth was spread through social networks like Facebook, Twitter,
LinkedIn and many others. With social media growing at an alarmingly fast rate,
the camp knew this would be a new and exciting way to engage donors and the
community as a whole.
Overall, the “Choose Your Path” online challenge was successful in
helping the nonprofit continue in its pursuit to bring health and happiness
to campers and family members alike. With the kind and generous
contributions brought-in over the past 6 weeks, the Double H Ranch will
continue making a differences in the lives of others.
