5 Pranks To Pull On Your Hiking Buddy
#1. Tie Hiking Boot Laces Together
What would April Fools Day hiking be without a little tomfoolery? Be sure you are not any place dangerous before you attempt this prank. It should be innocent and fun.
#2. Replace Water With Seltzer
Even the biggest fan of Saratoga spring water would be taken aback by an unexpected taste of the bubbly mineral water being swapped into their water bottle.
#3. Photo Bomb Their Photos
As they pause to take in the scenery and capture it, pop in to their viewfinder with a funny face or crazy pose. Then laugh it off together. Then do it again 🙂
#4. Act Like There’s A Bear Behind Them
Prank spirit bubbling over? Stare silently with wide eyes looking just past your buddy and slowly back away in surrender pose. Don’t wait too long before blurting out, “April Fools!” and then make it clear that if they see you do that again, it will not be a joke.
#5. Pretend You Lost Something
Say you dropped something important (your wedding ring, a pocket watch your grandfather gave you, etc), and look for it together. Look hard. Retrace your steps. Sigh in frustration and worry. Then admit it was just a joke!
BONUS: 2 Adirondack Pranks To Pull From A Distance!
Not in the Adirondacks hiking for April fools? You can still join in some Adirondack themed prankery when April 1st arrives.
#1. You Bought Adirondack Real Estate
Call or email a friend and tell them you are living the dream. You bought a cabin in the Adirondacks! Details are up to you.
#2. You Bought A Non-Refundable Room
You need them to take your place on an Adirondack vacation. You bought a non-refundable room, and now a work commitment [sub in believable obligation] has come up, and you are wondering if they want a free stay in the Adirondacks. Oh, to crush their hopes will be so cruel.
Happy pranking!
I pranked my dog! I have an app with a doorbell sound. When hiking up Marcy, I rang it and my dog went nuts barking. There wasn’t a sole around, or a door. LOL!
