Willow Wood Farm, located at 3489 NYS Route 74 in Ticonderoga, will be having a grand opening celebration on Thursday, February 5 at 4:00pm! This event, hosted by the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, will provide members of the community with the opportunity to see all that Willow Wood Farm has to offer and to sample some of the farm’s products.
Willow Wood raises Dexter and Dexter Cross cattle, free range chickens, and pigs that are fed high quality hormone- and antibiotic-free grain. Willow Wood Farm takes pride in the health and well-being of its animals and produces naturally hormone- and antibiotic-free meats and eggs.
The proprietors operate a year-round self-serve farm stand (just west of Tractor Supply on Route 74) so locals can have easy access to the farm’s products. They also participate in Ticonderoga Area Farmers’ Markets in the summer.
One of Willow Wood Farm’s latest aspirations is to become a drop off/pickup location for yourfarmstand.com – a website that enables consumers to buy fresh local food directly from local independent farmers and producers in one simple transaction. Ann Lamb, Owner & Operator of Willow Wood Farm, says, “We’re really excited about the future being able to support local farmers and provide fresh, healthy products to consumers.”
In coordination with their ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration, Willow Wood Farm will be offering the following specials: Ground beef $4.75 lb., Ground pork $5.75 lb. and Breakfast and Sweet Italian sausage $7.75 lb. This special will run from Thursday, February 5 through Sunday February 8.
