The annual ididaride! presented by the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) takes you through the central Adirondack Mountains on a difficult but visually and physically rewarding ride.
There are two options – a 75-mile loop and a 20-mile ride. You’ll begin in North Creek, and cycle through some of the most beautiful scenery in the area. The total elevation gain for the loop is 6,340 ft. and for the 20-mile ride is 1,340 ft.
You’ll enjoy views of Mason Lake, Lewey Lake and Indian Lake while cycling through the towns and hamlets of Bakers Mills, Wells, Speculator, Sabael, Indian Lake and North River. There are four designated rest stops, but also several places along the ride to stop for a rest, a quick swim, or a bite to eat if you get hungry.
You’ll start and end at the Ski Bowl Park Pavilion in North Creek, where an aprés-ride 10th anniversary celebration will feature live music, food, drinks, and prizes. Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks, and they get to join in the celebration too.
