The 23rd Annual Ticonderoga Area Car Show will be held Sunday, August 2 in Ticonderoga’s Bicentennial Park from 9:00AM – 4:00PM. This fun-filled day will feature activities for all ages, and vehicle owners will have the chance to win lots of awards. Many local businesses will also be offering specials and promotions the entire weekend!
Some of the awards that will be given out include Best of Show Car, Best of Show Truck, Best of Show Motorcycle, Best of Show Display, Super Wheels Prize Package, Chambers Choice, Fans Choice, Most Radical Engine, Best Color Scheme, Favorite Antique, and Best Work in Progress. One of the Best of Show winners will be sent to the “SuperWheels Showdown” in Boston in October to go for even more accolades!
There will be lots more to do on car show day, besides browsing the assortment of vehicles. A selection of activities and offerings includes food, vendors, pin striping, a 50/50 raffle, a car show raffle, live music, a piston toss, a muffler wrap, and a hoola hoop contest. The Kiwanis Club of Ticonderoga will also be holding its annual Duck Race at 11:00 AM along the LaChute River in Bicentennial Park.
Planning to bring the little ones along? This year there will be a Kid Zone with a bouncy house and a clown to keep the youngest members of your family entertained!
One of the coolest parts of this year’s show will be an appearance by Paul Mennett who’s best known for his hit television show Cruisin’ New England on NESN!
Mennett will be bringing his “Circle of Champions” classic car display, and he looks forward to seeing what treasures he can find in Ticonderoga.
There’s still time to register your vehicle for the show! The pre-registration fee is $15 before July 31, and it jumps to $20 for those who wish to register at the gate on the day of the show. Admission for all spectators is free.
