1. The Can-Am Lake Placid Adult Pond Hockey Tournament
Thursday, January 28 – Sunday, January 31
More than 20 hockey rinks will be carved out in Mirror Lake for this weekend’s pond hockey tournament! All teams will play two games on Friday and Saturday, and playoff matchups will be set on Saturday evening.

The ADK Winter Mountaineering School was established to promote enjoyable and successful winter mountaineering and camping through a learn-by-doing approach. You can choose to sign up for a Weekend Backpack, a Week Long Combination Day Hike/Backpack, or a Four-Night Backpack.
Friday, January 29 – Sunday, January 31
This family-friendly, spectator event features two days of exciting pond hockey, plus live music, food, and warm beverages.
Saturday, January 30
The annual Bob Whitford Ice Fishing Tournament in Brant Lake gives out awards for the largest fish in three categories: perch, trout, and crappy.
Sunday, January 31
In this class, you will learn how to identify animal tracks and signs. Then, participants will interpret what they find to help paint a picture of the animal itself and what it was doing, thinking, and feeling at that moment.
