Small businesses are an essential part of the local economy, but they are also friends, neighbors, and members of the community. It’s important to take the time and appreciate their positive effect on the region. In celebration of 2016’s National Small Business Week, and to remind everyone to Think Local, The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) is holding a Spring Shopping & Dining Night on Friday, May 6, from 4:30pm – 9:00pm at participating businesses in Ticonderoga.
The TACC has themed this year’s celebration “Growing a Positive Community” to reflect the relationship between businesses and the community. In a press release, Matthew Courtright, executive director of the TACC, stated,”You are also giving our local businesses and organizations the ability to support the community in so many ways.”
Throughout the night, local businesses will be offering various specials and promotions, so be sure to check out Ticonderoga’s shops, stores, and restaurants.
In addition, the TACC will be running its own scavenger hunt-esque event in which community members and visitors can take photos of five of the Positive Quotes located at participating businesses, then upload and mention where they were found on the TACC Facebook page, in order to be eligible for prizes and giveaways.
Ready to spend a night shopping and dining? Stop by the Ticonderoga Chamber Office, participating businesses, or online at the Chamber’s official website for further information and toreceive a Spring Shopping & Dining Guide. You must have this guide or mention the word “Spring” to receive the night’s promotions.
Have fun and Think Local!
