1. Plein Air Paint-Out at the VIC

Paul Smiths
A number of area plein air painters have been invited to participate in this event, and other artists are welcome to join the group. Spectators are also encouraged to do some hiking and watch the artists paint.

Looking for something to do with the little ones this weekend? Bring them to Mountain Lake PBS on Saturday morning to watch an episode of Odd Squad, then do some fun math and craft activities!

Lake Luzerne
Feeling crafty? Head to Adirondack Folk School and create your own tole painted tray. Students will transfer a design, then fill it in using two basic kinds of brush strokes. No experience is necessary for this workshop.
4. The Met: Live in HD: Roberto Devereux
Saturday, April 16
Lake Placid
On Saturday afternoon, Lake Placid Center for the Arts will present Roberto Devereux as part of the Met Opera Live in HD series. The opera tells the story of Queen Elizabeth I who is forced to sign the death warrant of Devereux, a nobleman whom she loves.
Sunday, April 17
Long Lake
Sing, tap dance, play spoons, or do a comedy routine. Anything goes at the Long Lake Town Hall on Sunday afternoon! Sign up starting at noon on Sunday to showcase your talents.
