2. One Woman’s Passion: Fiber Art by Nancy DiDonato

Fiber artist Nancy DiDonato has won numerous awards for her innovative works of quilting and engineering that often consist of multiple pieces connected in unconventional ways. An exhibit of her work will be on display at Tannery Pond Center’s Widlund Gallery through May 2, and an opening reception will be held on Friday from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.
3. 5th Annual Garden & Landscape Symposium

Ticonderoga
The King’s Garden at Fort Ticonderoga presents the 5th Annual Garden & Landscape Symposium on Saturday. Gardeners of all experience levels are invited to attend to gain helpful insight from garden experts.
4. Shades of Nature with Teresa Breuer
Saturday, April 9 & Sunday, April 10
Lake Luzerne
Learn how to create magnificent lampshades at Adirondack Folk School! The class is divided into two half-day sessions, and the result will be a lampshade produced from botanicals that adds a warm, beautiful touch to any light fixture.
5. Fort Fever Series: “Building 18th-Century Redoubts”

Ticonderoga
Delve into the tools, materials, and mathematics employed in constructing a redoubt. Begin with a theoretical look at redoubt construction through 18th-century treatises, then dive into a practical view by examining the original earthworks that still remain at Fort Ticonderoga.
