The 24th Annual Ticonderoga Area Car Show will be held on Sunday, August 7th, in Ticonderoga’s Bicentennial Park from 9am to 4pm. Participants will be competing for several different awards, including an opportunity to qualify for a car show in Boston.

The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce will be sending one Best of Show winner to proceed on to the SuperWheels Showdown in Boston in October.
The lucky winner who makes it to that show can have a chance to go on to an even larger car show at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, which was filmed last year as part of Paul Mennett’s show Cruisn’ New England on NESN.
In addition, participants at the Ticonderoga Area Car Show will have a chance at many special awards such as Best of Show, Best of Show Truck, Best of Show Motorcycle, Chambers Choice, Fans Choice, Most Radical Engine, Best Color Scheme, and more.
There is a $15.00 pre-registration fee for those who enter the car show prior to August 5th; those registering day-of will pay $20.00. In addition to a less expensive entry fee, participants who pre-register will be entered to win a variety of giveaways, and the first 150 people registered will receive a dash plaque.
All vehicles must be on the grounds by 10:45am for the 11:00am judging. Admission for spectators is free.
A Car Show Raffle will be offered, with tickets available while supplies last for a $10.00 donation to the TACC. First prize is $2,500, second prize $1,500, and third is a Lake George 1 Night Getaway. Tickets are available at the TACC office, from TACC volunteers, and at certain local businesses. You do not need to be present to win. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
In addition to the car show and raffles, there will also be food, vendors, live music by the Loose Connections, the Kiwanis Duck Race, a Piston Toss, a Muffler Wrap and several kid-friendly events – a kid zone with a clown, face painting, balloon animals, a bouncy house, and a playground.
“There are also a variety of activities happening throughout the Ticonderoga area the weekend of the Car Show,” Matthew Courtright, TACC Executive Director, said in a statement. “We encourage visitors and community members to make a complete weekend and enjoy all the Ticonderoga area has to offer.”
