1. 8th Annual Adirondack Plein Air Festival
Monday, August 15 – Saturday, August 20
Saranac Lake/Paul Smiths/Lake Placid Area
The Adirondack Plein Air Festival is a six day event in which artists will be painting around Saranac Lake, Paul Smiths, and Lake Placid. Spectators are encouraged to stop by and watch these local artists create their masterpieces.

Recognized as the first week-long, fully supported bike tour of the Adirondack Park, Cycle Adirondacks kicks off this weekend. The 2016 route begins and ends in Hadley-Lake Luzerne, and registration availability is listed online.

North Creek
Enjoy an all new wine tasting event at the Saratoga & North Creek Railway station. The festival will feature wineries from the Upper Hudson Valley Wine Trail.
4. Rondeaufest Americana Music Fair

Long Lake
A lineup of talented musicians will perform this Saturday at the Mt. Sabattis Pavilion. The music fair will also include activities, BBQ, and kettle corn.

Saranac Lake
The OLGA Memorial Footrace in Saranac Lake includes a 5K walk, a 5K run, and a 10K run. Proceeds from this popular summer event will go toward the Saranac Lake Youth Center and the Saranac Lake Rotary Literacy Program.
6. Minerva Fire & Rescue “Fun Dog Event”

Bring your furry friend to Minerva Beach this Saturday for the Fire & Rescue dog event. There will be an Iron Dog Walk/Run, Dog Demos, and a Dog Show.

The Moriah Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a summer gala cruise aboard the Basin Harbor Club’s tour boat “Escape.” The ship holds 48 passengers, and proceeds will benefit the Chamber.
