As we enjoy the final days of summer, early fall festivals are already on their way in the Adirondacks! Check out all the fantastic festivals,including the Apple Festival, antique shows, recreational activities, and more going on in the Adirondacks this weekend!
Fun Festivals
Warrensburg Apple Festival – Friday, September 16
This Friday, the Warrensburg Riverfront Farmers Market will host its 3rd annual Apple Festival, featuring local vendors, apples, and apple products. The market will be open from from 3:00PM – 6:00PM.
Adirondack Harvest Festival – Friday, September 16 – Saturday, September 17
The first ever Adirondack Harvest Festival will take place at the Essex County Fairgrounds during the evening of September 16 and all day on September 17. The festival will kick off with planned hikes on Friday, followed by a festival featuring live music, vendors, and local produce.
Annual Hague Oktoberfest – Friday, September 16 – Sunday, September 18
At the Hague Town Park, celebrate the arrival of fall with the Annual Hague Oktoberfest! There will be German food, a beer tent, as well as activities for the kids. Individual tickets are $3, and family admission costs $5.
Flying Leaves Aviation Festival – Saturday, September 17
Celebrate the changing of the leaves at the Adirondack Regional Airport’s Flying Leaves Aviation Festival, located in Saranac Lake. The festival officially begins at 10:00AM, but Young Eagles flights will start at 7:00AM. Call 518-327-3223 to schedule an early flight!
Lake George Jazz Weekend 2016 – Saturday, September 17 – Sunday, September 18
Don’t miss this year’s Jazz at the Lake at Shepard Park in Lake George! The free two-day music festival will feature an exciting lineup of jazz musicians.
Inlet’s Fall Festival – Saturday, September 17 – Sunday, September 18
This year’s Fall Festival in Inlet will be held at Fern Park from 10:00AM-4:00PM on Saturday and Sunday. Over 50 vendors will be at the festival, and activities, live music, and more will be going on all afternoon.
Multi-Day Antique Shows
The Adirondack Mountains Antiques Show – Wednesday, September 14 – Sunday, September 18
Stop by the Adirondack Mountains Antiques Show this week in Indian Lake. Dealers will be set up in front of the Indian Lake school located in the center of town, and you’ll find rustic furniture, hunting antiques, and more for sale.
Antique Show and Sale – Saturday, September 17 – Sunday, September 18
At the Adirondack Museum, the Antiques Show and Sale will be open to anyone who has paid the cost of general museum admission. From rare books to historic fine art, you’ll have the chance to browse a variety of antiques.

Teddy Roosevelt (TR) Weekend in Newcomb – Friday, September 16 – Sunday, September 18
It’s TR Weekend in the Town of Newcomb! In celebration of Teddy Roosevelt’s time in the area, the weekend will be filled with nature walks, fun activities, and demonstrations. A lot will be going on, so be sure to check out the schedule.
“Five Museums Sampler” Tour – Saturday, September 17
For $30 per ticket, participants of the “Five Museums Sampler” Tour will be able to travel around the Lake Champlain Bridge and explore five historic museums. Tour space is limited to 35 people, so it’s best to call ahead to 802-388-2967 and check ticket availability.
Community Wide Garage Sale – Saturday, September 17 – Sunday, September 18
In the Towns of Speculator, Lake Pleasant, Arietta, Piseco, and Morehouse, there will be a two-day Community Wide Garage Sale. Locals will be selling items between the hours of 9:00AM-4:00PM on both Saturday and Sunday.
Recreational Activities
12th Annual Paddle for the Cure – Saturday, September 17
Get ready for the Paddle for the Cure at Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company in Old Forge. The annual fundraiser will feature a 2 mile paddle on the Moose River starting at 9:30AM. Day-of registration is $30.
9th Annual Lance Gregson 1-Eye Classic – Sunday, September 18
Spend the day with fellow cyclists at the 9th Annual Lance Gregson 1-Eye Classic at the Schroon Lake Town Beach. The event will begin at 8:00AM, and everyone is welcome to ride together on three different routes and enjoy an afternoon picnic.
Course the Wall Trail Run – Sunday, September 18
The Lapland Lake Nordic Vacation Center in Northville will host the Course the Wall Trail Run. Register for a 5K Trail Run ($45) or a 9K Trail Run ($55). A BBQ party with live music will take place after the races.
