Oktoberfest in the Adirondacks!
25th Annual Whiteface Oktoberfest – Saturday, October 1 & Sunday, October 2
Get ready for a Bavarian-style celebration at Whiteface Mountain, featuring authentic music, dancing, food, and beer! Ticket prices vary, but some include a ride on the Cloudsplitter Gondola, which provides great views of the fall foliage.
Titus Mountain Oktoberfest – Saturday, October 1
The 36th annual Titus Mountain Oktoberfest in Malone will feature multiple vendors, music, chairlift and hay rides, and fireworks at dusk. Admission is $5 per person, and gates open at 10:00AM.
Hoss’s Octo-BEAR-Fest – Saturday, October 1
The 2nd annual Octo-BEAR-Fest at Hoss’s County Corner in Long Lake will take place this Saturday from 10:00AM-4:00PM. There will be many solo artists and groups performing at the festival, and you’ll be able to enjoy brews, food, vendors, and activities throughout the day.
Oaktoberfest at Oak Mountain – Sunday, October 2
Enjoy the fall season at Oaktoberfest in the Village of Speculator! Located at the Oak Mountain Ski Center, the festival has a full lineup of entertainment planned, including a craft fair, live music, $5 scenic chairlift rides, and more. Admission to Oaktoberfest is free.

World’s Largest Garage Sale – Saturday, October 1 & Sunday, October 2
The Town of Warrensburg will once again hold the World’s Largest Garage Sale this weekend! Over 200 local vendors will be selling goods at this town-wide sale, so head over and search for hidden treasures.
Chestertown Garage Sale – Saturday, October 1 & Sunday, October 2
Chestertown will hold its own town-wide garage sale at the same time as Warrenburg this weekend. Check out all the vendors located throughout Chestertown and at private homes.

Adirondack Rural Skills and Homesteading Festival – Saturday, October 1
Paul Smiths College VIC will host an Adirondack Rural Skills and Homesteading Festival this Saturday from 10:00AM-4:00PM. Watch a demonstration of competitive lumberjack sports, check out the exhibitions, and try out a workshop. Admission will be $5 per person or $10 per carload.
Billy Bob’s Orchard Applefest – Saturday, October 1 & Sunday, October 2
Billy Bob’s Orchard in Putnam Station will host a two-day Applefest this weekend! Bring the family and enjoy apple picking, pumpkin picking, hay rides, and live music.

Adirondack Kids Day – Saturday, October 1
Take the family over to the Town of Inlet for its Adirondack Kids Day! All sorts of activities will be going on throughout the day, including horseback rides, a fishing derby, and live animal presentations.
Gore Mountain Leaf Cruncher 5K – Saturday, October 1
Go to Gore Mountain this Saturday for its family-oriented Leaf Cruncher 5K! Open to runners of all ages, participants can hunt for treasures on the course. Day-of registration runs from 8:00AM-9:30AM, and the cost per person will be $30.
Howlin’ Spooktacular Family Fun Run – Saturday, October 1
The 15th annual Howlin’ Spooktacular Family Fun Run in Old Forge will support Camp Mark 7. There are three races to choose from: a Kids 1K Run, a Family 5K Run, and a Family 10K Run. Registration for the three races closes at the end of the day on September 29.
North Country Out of the Darkness Walk – Sunday, October 2
Support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and take part in the Out of the Darkness Community Walk at the Olympic Speed Skating Oval in Lake Placid. Registration will begin at 11:30AM at the Skating Oval. To support the event, you can donate money or set yourself a fundraising goal.
