Although winter is officially over, maple sugaring season is still underway in the Adirondacks! If you take a trip to the region this weekend, you’ll find everything from fun maple-themed events to early springtime activities. Take a trip to the Conference Center at Lake Placid for the 4th annual Tastes of Maple this Saturday at 4:00pm. Tasting tickets will cost $1 each, and there will be multiple restaurants and businesses offering maple-themed cuisine to try.
Join Lake Clear Lodge for their Maple Cabin Fever Festival this Saturday at 3:00pm. There will be five tasting stations highlighting five eras of Adirondack food. General admission is $15 per person.
The third and final weekend of the 2017 Thurman Maple Days has arrived. Attend open houses at four different Thurman area farms and enjoy demos, tastings, and more. All sites will be open from 10:00am-4:00pm
Gore Mountain Maple Day is this Sunday starting at 8:00am! Come by and enjoy maple treats by Adirondack Gold Maple Farm, live music, and much more.
Don’t miss out on the 3rd annual Ticonderoga Area Mom Prom taking place at the Best Western Plus Ticonderoga Inn & Suites this Saturday at 7:00pm. The theme is “Rustic Romance,” and the Mom Prom will include a DJ, food, a 50/50, and more. The cost is $40 per person.
The annual fundraising event called the Snowmakers Ball returns to McCauley Mountain Ski Center this Saturday at 6:00pm. The theme is “Mad for Plaid,” and the event will include dinner and entertainment. Admission is $20 per person.

Visit the Adirondack Folk School in Lake Luzerne for the viewing of their 3rd Quilt Block Challenge. Quilters from around the region have submitted unique squares that will be judged at the show. Vote on your favorite in various categories from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
Check out the Westport Heritage House this Saturday for their indoor Winter Farmers Market. You’ll find all kinds of locally produced items for sale, including cheeses, meats, honey, syrup, dried herbs, flower seeds, and more.
